What is kept, and where

The app remembers a few small things so your child does not start from zero every time. All of it stays on the device itself and none of it ever leaves:

• Progress stars for letters and numbers
• Best scores in the maths games
• Which level of Super Sofi has been reached
• A saved pattern in Beat Box and a saved jigsaw
• Which voice was chosen, if one was chosen

These are stored by the browser or the app on the device, under names beginning adams-. They contain no personal information of any kind, only numbers and settings. Clearing the browser data, or deleting the app, erases all of it permanently. We cannot see it, recover it or transfer it, because we never had it.

No advertising, no analytics, no tracking

• There is no advertising anywhere in Learn with Adam, and no advertising network is present in it.
• There is no analytics. We do not count taps, sessions, screens or users. We do not know who is using the app or how often.
• There are no third party components that send data. No Google, Facebook, or advertising toolkits are built into it.
• There are no cookies and no tracking identifiers.
• Nothing is ever sold, shared, licensed or disclosed to anyone, because there is nothing to sell, share, licence or disclose.

The only thing the app requests over the network is its own voice recordings and pictures from our own server. It sends no information with those requests beyond what any web browser sends to load a file.

One thing we want you to know about the voice

Almost everything Learn with Adam says is a recording we made and shipped with the app, and those play entirely on the device.

A small number of lines, mainly in Urdu, are still spoken by the voice built into your own iPad, tablet or computer. On some devices, notably Android, that built-in voice may send the sentence it is about to read to the device maker's own service in order to speak it. That sentence is app text such as "A is for apple". It never contains anything about your child. This is how the device's own speech feature works and it is governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policy, not ours. We are replacing these remaining lines with our own recordings, after which the app will speak entirely offline.

Children

Learn with Adam is made for children aged roughly three to seven, and it is built to the standard that category deserves.

• It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.
• It contains no advertising, no purchasing inside the activities, no social features, no chat, no user generated content and no links that take a child out of the app.
• It complies with the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the United Kingdom Age Appropriate Design Code, and the child provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation, by the simplest possible means: it gathers no data at all.

Because no personal information is ever collected, there is no verifiable parental consent for us to obtain, no data for a parent to request, review or delete from us, and no retention period to state.

If the app is ever paid for

Should a paid version be offered in future, the payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own terms. We never see or hold a card number, a billing address or any payment detail. We would receive only the anonymous sales reports those companies publish to every developer, which name no one.

Where it is hosted

The iPad and iPhone app works entirely on the device and sends nothing anywhere. The web version is served from naeems.app. Like any website, the hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs of requests made to it, which may include an IP address, for security and for keeping the service running. We do not use those logs to identify anyone, we do not connect them to any child, and we do not combine them with anything else.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and a material change would be announced in the app's store listing. We will not begin collecting anything without saying so here first, in plain words.
